You can heal your life

I bought this paperback version for myself and the hard back gift edition for my sister. I thought it was just another self help book but the detail and the words are so powerful. I would recommend this book to anyone whether you have issues or not. We all need to love ourselves more to make this world a better place.

Great poster for studying. Easy to stick up on a wall. Muscles are clearly labelled and it's not overly detailed making it simple and easy to use.

Weight loss

I have followed the advice in this book for the last two weeks ad have lost 10lbs and my partner has lost 17lbs!!! It is brilliant and I have never felt hungry on the plan either and that is something for me! lol! If you want to improve energy and lose weight get this book!

At a glance

I purchased this poster because I wanted a larger at a glance view of human joints and ligaments than that which might be available in a book. This is a good poster and shows a standing center of gravity line.

Brilliant!

Absolutely indispensable if you're a therapist who deals with people's physical problems. Louise believes that every physical problem has a mental cause and gives us the probable thoughts that could lead to such a problem along with affirmations to help us change those thoughts.<br /><br />A great book. I use it all the time in my Reiki practise and with my coaching and EFT too. A very valuable addition to any healers bookshelf.

Informative, enlightening, very enchanting.

The first 19 pages of this book give a brief explanation of the function of your Chakras, followed by brief details of each Chakra. The remainder of the book focuses in detail on different methods of clearing your Chakras: Meditations to clear your Chakras; a morning and evening mediation (also included on the accompanying CD) and a heart Chakra meditation. These are very helpful and effective. Visualisations to clear your Chakras: there are seven detailed and interesting visualizations. Angel Therapy to clear your Chakras: there are four ways to work with the angels outlined in this chapter. Chapter 5 is entitled"Additional Methods to clear your Chakras" which provides brief detail about a variety of methods, which is interesting and may inspire you to new thinking and exploring some of these in more detail. Chapter 6 is about Chakra and Aura scanning, which I found too brief to be of much help; however, it does introduce you to the topic, so if you are curious, there are books dedicated to this topic alone. The last chapter is a note about `clearing the way' which is like a brief summary of Chakra clearing followed by a warming story from Doreen about one of her angel experiences. <br /><br />If you are looking for a book to learn from scratch about Chakras, this is not the one; it is helpful to have some knowledge about Chakras before reading this book in order to get the most from the suggested methods for clearing Chakras. This book is informative, enlightening, very enchanting and has a wonderful warming tone throughout. <br /><br />I feel it slightly spoiled by the frequent references to a Christian God, as I'm a Pagan; but I do learn to disregard this when reading Doreen's books. If you are not a Christian, this could be off-putting - but if you can ignore this, it is a very helpful book providing a variety of information that can help you on your spiritual path. The accompanying meditations on CD are also very helpful; and Doreen has just the right voice for a guided meditation.<br />

Excellent

Deepak Chopra is amazing - how he manages to write so many books whilst being so busy teaching is beyond me. Perhaps it suggests that he really is connected to some spiritual source inside him, or at least to some major creative part. This is as readable and insightful as any of his other books, making it clear that we have much power over our own bodies than we realise. It's all about using our mental powers in the correct way, so that both body and mind can reach an optimum state. I would recommend on it heartily, only with the proviso that if you've read other books by Deepak, you may have heard certain things before. Another great new book I've just read is Steve Taylor's Waking From Sleep, which Eckhart Tolle - no less - says is 'one of the best books on spiritual awakening I have read.' Waking from Sleep: Why Awakening Experiences Occur and How to Make Them Permanent <br /><br />

very good book

I bought this book for my daughter, who is a gym instructor and swimming teacher, as she wants to get into sports massage. She was absolutely delighted with it and read it cover to cover, and said it was very comprehensive, and just what she was looking for. She would highly recommend it to anyone interested in sport or remedial massage.

Lower your blood pressure easily and without drugs

This book provides a detailed explanation of the causes of high blood pressure/hypertension and how you can reduce it and lessen the risks of heart attack, stroke or diabetes. It explains how simple dietary changes and exercise can lower cholesterol and blood pressure naturally, without the side-effects associated with the drugs normally prescribed for hypertension. The book contains detailed medical/scientific explanations, but much of this can be skipped if required and you can 'cut to the chase' and start cutting out salt and excess fat and increasing your intake of potassium-rich foods.<br /><br />I would give this book 5 stars but the food-specific tables refer to American foods, but don't let this put you off. An inexpensive blood-pressure monitor (Omron MX2 Basic, available from Amazon, is a good choice) and this book can help see your blood pressure fall to a safe, healthy level and keep it there - providing you follow the instructions!

A useful reference guide for healers

This book is a useful guide to the basics of energy healing - talking about the human energy field, auras, chakras, the causes of illness, etc, and doing so in a clear, easy to understand way. <br /><br />When it gets to the energy work, and in particular, the act of healing and seeing, it seems to imply that there is only one way of doing it. But the visions that we each of us see when we heal are different, depending on the individual and the sorts of symbols that have meaning for each one. Indeed, some healers don't see anything at all, but work entirely from intuitive feeling, for example.<br /><br />My feeling on this book is that it is a useful resource, but that we each need to trust the information and intuitions that we receive ourselves, in order to open up our own higher perceptions. If you find yourself judging your own perceptions as not being"as good as" the author's, just relax and don't worry. They are as good. They're just yours.<br /><br />I have come across a number of healers who feel they aren't"doing it right" after reading this book, when in fact, they're doing just fine. This is not the fault of the author - it has more to do with the tendency of healers to worry about their own progress and compare it to others. <br /><br />So, my recommendation is this: read the book. It's full of good information. Then keep the information you can readily assimilate in your own work, and don't worry too much about the other stuff. If you need it, you'll encounter it again.

Same as The complete book of essential oils and aromatherapy

While this is an excellent book it is misleading for Amazon to point out that customers who bought it also bought The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy by the same author. After reading that recommendation I bought both books - only to find out that they are the same exact book under a different title. Shame on you Amazon!

The Journey by Brandon Bays.

If you are asking yourself questions about your life, are feeling a bit empty, wondering if there all alternative ways to heal yourself, change your life, have spiritual beliefs and are interested in healing meditations, this is the book to read. Brandon Bays has a lovely narrative and her words and beliefs are extremely uplifting. Even if you are feeling sceptical I think you would be astonished at what you find in this book. Brandon Bays story is fascinating and a reminder to us of the potential we all have inside of us.

Essential read

In this exciting book, Gregg Braden discusses the field of energy providing the container"for everything that happens between the world within us and the one outside our bodies".<br /><br />Braden compares the divine matrix to the software that runs a computer. But our"software" is our feelings and we can use our feelings, the language of emotion, to create our reality.<br /><br />One of his"keys" (of which he has 20) is that we are always connected to each other, the individual also always being connected to his/her DNA even though it has been removed from the body.<br /><br />Gregg Braden refers to varous experiments illustrating his tenets. He also describes an operation he witnessed in Beijing, where a tumour in the body of a woam was"miraculously" removed within a few minutes by the power of thought.<br /><br />Among other subjects, he discussed the nature of time (the healing of the past from the present), refers repeatedly to my favourite author Neville (feel that your wish is fulfilled and it will be) and devotes a whole chapter to the discussion of how everyone appearing in one's life constitutes a projection of one's own personality and problems, i.e. are sent to mirror our own selves back to us so we better can perceive what it is we need to work on in order to better ourselves. He illustrates this by means of examples from his own life.<br /><br />This is a book that I feel is an essential read for anyone at all interested in metaphysics and the nature and possibilities of our own selves!

Helped me make up my mind about the irrelevance of the cholesterol argument

This certainly a good book, for all the reasons given in the rave reviews it gets. However, I think that Dr. Kendrick's puerile style becomes irritating after a while and makes it more difficult to get to the essentials of what he's trying to say. A much better bet is Uffe Ravnskov's 'Fat and Cholesterol are Good for You!'. He casts his research data net wider and presents his arguments in a clearer, less confusing way.

Love Yourself - Heal Your Life - Really...

This is a fabulous accompaniment to Louise's 'You Can Heal Your Life'. There are pages and pages of written and thinking exercises to loosen up those little grey cells and allow you to discover the causes behind the problems you currently face in your life.<br /><br />As a Louise Hay teacher, I found it invaluable for my students, and for myself.<br /><br />If you're really serious about healing yourself or your life, read this, actually do the exercises and you will travel so much further along your path than you ever believed possible.

Very useful information about stress

I really enjoyed this book and found that some difficult information could be interesting and fun. He writes in a very personal manner and at the same time scientific. As a psychologist I found that the information in this book could be applied to clients clinically and my own knowledge on the topic stress has expanded.

A Very Useful And Informative Book

This is the third book I bought on soapmaking, by the time I bought it I had already made several batches of soap fom the other two books but was not satisfied with the results.<br />This book goes into more depth and is very interesting aswell! It contains everything you need to know in my opinion and has some very good supplier references. (All American but many ship internationally and have very good prices). It describes lots of ingredients and really helps you to make informed choices on what you are going to use in your own soaps.<br />I would recomend this book to anyone. I think the great thing about it is that you pick up so many small but very useful bits of infomation along the way to complement the basics, this filled all the gaps in my knowlege and gave me much more confidence.<br />By far my favourite book on soap making.
