Only worthwhile for absolute novices...
OK, I realise that I'm sticking my neck out by disagreeing with most of the reviews here, but I was disappointed with this book.<br /><br />That said, if you are a complete beginner to ebay and only intend to make a small amount of money from it, then it's probably for you - it covers all the basics in detail.<br /><br />My main disappointment though is that it all seems rather obvious - anyone who has sold 2 or 3 items will know 90% of what is in this book. <br /><br />A final point - do not buy this book if you intend to make a living, or a significant income, from ebay. Even in the introduction, where the author should be grabbing the reader's attention, he points out that a busy day nets him about £100 - before tax. Hardly a fortune. The fact that he considers this a good day, and moots taking the next day off because of it, does not speak of a man with ambition. <br /><br />If you want some basic advice on selling low-value items and are new to ebay, then this book probably gives good advice. If your sights are set higher, don't bother.63

A bit outdated...
Bought this book on the recommendation of a friend, bought"Debugging the Development Environment" on the recommendation of my boss and would probably recommend neither for todays fluidic environments. Mythical Man Month contains a somewhat outdated view of software development, more suitably apt for an age when only long time development projects for mainframes existed and Web/PC development had not been heard of.<br /><br />Still relevant in parts to large waterfall based development projects, not helpful with RAD/Extreme and other more modern, small team development methods and probably only a useful read if you are new to project teams and/or have not worked in an IT environment65

Another great book from Mike Cohn
If you are doing Agile Software Development or want to, then buy this book. It contains stuff in it that you just won’t find any where else. Mike knows his stuff. He’s worked on many agile projects and his experience comes through in his writing. I helped review this book and (although I haven’t recieved my paper copy yet) I am impressed at how easy it was to read, despite the complexity of the subject.67

Well structured and well paced informative book
This book and Andy Rouse's book on Understanding Raw Photography are all you need to grasp far more than the basics and to be able to use RAW photos in Lightroom competently and with confidence.<br /><br />This book is written thoughtfully and with intelligence. Careful, illustrated/demonstrated examples of the points which the author is making are presented throughout. Every word counts. None of the swaggering self-agrandisement which seems to characterise the writing style of Scott Kelby.<br /><br />It is a mystery to me how the Peachpit Press can produce this excellent book by Martin Evening on the one hand and the shabby effort by Kelby on the other69

Avinash Kaushik has the amazing ability to make complex ideas simple. I find myself quoting from his book when trying to explain key concepts to colleagues. And though the book runs to 420 pages it's very accessible. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has a blog or a website or anyone interested in how the best of the best in 2007 are using online data to make sense of what people are doing on the web and how to improve their experiences.70

As it says this comprises 20 tests each of 10 questions. I was pleased by the range of questions, the choice of multiple choice or not and the size of the tests does make them very suitable for dropping in across a week, rather than making time for a full length test.71

Excellent, clear and pocket sized!
We teach the Bpec Part P Defined Scope here at PPL Plumbing Training in York. This book is an excellent resource so students on the 5 day Part P course. The diagrams are clear and uncomplex which makes it easy for students to understand all 16th Ed regs. We would highly recommend this book to all taking a Part P course.72

I have been working with ITIL v2 since the end of the 90's. I had both titles from OGC (Service Delivery and Service Support) and used both extensively. I bought the previous version of this ITSMF book in 2003, and from then on, I barely opened the OGC publications. It served me very well over 5 years. Now that ITIL v3 is available I decided to invest in this ITSM book rather than invest over 5 times as much in the OGC versions. Like its predecessor, this ITSMF text is a gem: it contains all I need to know about the 5 process groups, the new processes, and how I should go about introducing v3. I would heartily recommend it.73

THE Prince2 book ...
This is the one - if you want to understand Prince2 or take either the foundation or practitioner exams. However be warned most courses will supply this book so if you are looking to take a course and then the exams you'd be better off with the small handheld guide and/or alternative books as this book will be provided as part of the course (please check with your proposed provider!). <br />Quite a difficult book to read and assimilate but once the concepts have got in your head it is THE reference book. Often used after the course to support specific areas. <br />Once you've seen others with the book and taken the exams you'll soon understand why everyone's copies have tabs sticking out all over them!<br />Good luck with your studies...76

Having bought a lot of books over the past couple of years this is definitely the best so far. It covers all the areas of Spring that you will probably need and does it in a very readable manner. Quite funny in places too.<br /><br />
Excellent Book
Very interesting stuff on Google - I haven't actually finished the book, I'm halfway through but so far, I love it. The book is written in a documentary style and it's a great read.
