An unfortunate bad end to what could have been a fantastic series
After the disappointment of the sixth book I did have some apprehension when I first read the final installment- the deathly hallows.<br /><br />Bent canon rules of the previous books, dodgy wand lore which didn't make sense as well as terrible moral messages are just some of the reasons why this book was questionable. This is not to mention the multiple dropped themes and twisted characterisation from that which was established in earlier books which Rowling failed to deliver on or keep.<br /><br />Other reasons included general repetition and pacing as well as the terrible writing in some areas other than the infamous epilogue. Other issues include the fact Rowling tried to fit blatent christian apologetics and themes in an area which it simply did not fit.<br /><br />I'm afraid, in the end, Rowling while having a magnificant amount of imagination, just didn't have the talent to pull off writing a seven book series. It's a shame, but from doing this, Rowling has also potentially taught thousands of potential authors to learn from her mistake: that you should always plan ahead.<br /><br />26

i felt like I was There!!!
The run up to this novel was amazing and reding it was twice as nice.<br />When I read this for the first, second and even third time!!! I just had to keep turning the pages.<br />The way the story was told made me feel that I was there when Harry was laughing with Ron and Hermione and I was there when Harry was facing the final showdown with Voldemort.<br />Best Book Ever27

Teenage encouragement.
I can't be the only person to have a teenager who has no interest in their french lessons at school. They all love Harry Potter and this is just such a wonderful way to encourage a slight interest in the french language for stubborn teenagers. My daughter almost knows the HP books off by heart which helps enormously with translating the French version. Now French is not some boring subject that she has no interest in but something that she reads without being asked.29

This is one of my favorites, harry and ron have been left in london due to not being able to get on the train to Hogwarts. Although, ron has an idea, we should use"dad's" car to get us to Hogwarts, as you can imagine, it does not go to plan!. A great book to read and fun for all age's. 10/1030

In my opinion Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a very murderous and exiting book.<br />I recomend this book sutable for ages above 7 because , there is unsutable language in parts of the book.<br />This book is the best of the best Harry Potter collection you could probally get.<br />Danial Radcliff is the best actor in the world because he brings the charcater to life.32

Perfect!
After reading this book I was left gobsmacked, because someone in the story actually dies, who is a very important character. The start of the book carries on shortly after harry potter and the order of the phoenix, when the ministry of magic find out that Lord Voldamort is BACK!. Harrys adventure's are not over yet, as he and dumbledore find a new weapon to fight against the dark.35

A useful and interesting learning tool
I read this book in English and loved it, well who hasn't dreamed about being a wizard or witch? The decision to read the Spanish version was the result of a desperate search for material with which to improve both my reaiding and writing in this language. It was great, ok so afer only 18mths learning Spanish I found some passages tough, but knowing the english version meant that I could piece the story together and enjoy the challenge. I would reccomend this to any Spanish people looking for a fun read and any students searching for a way to improve their Spanish. Trust me you'll learn idioms, new vocabularly and it looks impressive on the bus!36

Excelent Story but quite a wait for it to be sent.
I can not fault the goods but I wqas very disapointed that the item was not sent until 2 weeks after the order, with no explanation or warning. It arrived too late for us to take on holiday. dont be put off
Dont be put off by the fact this is classified as a childrens book as it can be enjoyed by adults and children alike... There is nothing to say regarding the book and story that hasnt been said on this site already. Sure there are comparisons to other fantasy books which you can pour over until your blue in the face, if it was the case of judging these characters and storylines as being exclusive to their original inventors then there would be no literature in the world as every story ever written borrows and refines elements of previous stories. Enjoy the story for what it is.39

a very good read
A latecomer to the world of Harry Potter and having by now read the first four books and been lead further into the parallel world of wizardry and witchcraft, I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Order of the Phoenix and am now looking forward to The Half-Blood Prince. These novels are well written and constructed.
