ANOTHER GREAT ADDITION TO MY COLLLECTION

I have the guide book, 101 orders and the wish cards by the same author - Stephen Richards and only recently discovered this CD, even though it has been out a little while now. I have also just purchased the Chakra clearing CD. This CD is real mind blowing stuff, its like an addiction, you want to listen to it over and over again, no need for cosmically ordering yourself, all of the hard work is taken out of it and the CD does it all for you. I feel like a new person born again with a lust for life. Don't just take my word for it, give it a try for yourself and you will have a better understanding of what the CD can do for you. Dream Big...Dream Without Fear

After watching Randy's lecture called"Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" on YouTube I was blown away by his honesty, clarity and forthrightness in conveying life lessons he has discovered. And soon after I ordered this book which is the written version of that humorous and inspiring lecture. <br /><br />One of the ideas in his book is what Randy calls"head fake" where you learn an important lesson in an indirect way. I was reminded of my parents sending me out to my many childhood softball, tennis, skiing or golf lessons. At the time thinking I was just learning the skill sets of these sports but really learning so many other skills that have and continue to carry me through my achievements and successes. Those lessons instilled in me a deep impression of responsibility, commitment, knowing I make a difference and the importance of having play time and fun in my life. I so appreciate my parents unwavering commitment to me and my siblings in supporting us in our sporting life lesson adventures. <br /><br />If you found Randy's book inspiring, I highly recommend checking out any one or all of Ariel and Shya Kane's books,"Working on Yourself Doesn't Work: A Book About Instantaneous Transformation,""Being Here: Modern Day Tales of Enlightenment" or"How To Create a Magical Relationship." Each of the Kane's books have the idea of"Instantaneous Transformation" woven through the stories and ideas presented. A brilliant introduction to the Law of Attraction

Early last year I got hold of a copy of the Secret by Rhonda Byrne. Who can deny that the title is wonderful for catching your attention? The book serves as a brilliant introduction to the law of attraction, which is an interpretation of the power behind the universe. The book is based on the author's Secret DVD which has interviews with a number of notable law of attraction speakers. The book contains some of the choicest quotes included in the DVD and new commentary by Rhonda Byrne. This is a great book that helps you gently dip your toe into this fascinating genre.

A vital purchase

Here's a book that will expand your mind. And how could it not? Look at the contributors it boasts: Einstein, Darwin, Orwell, Larkin, Twain, McEwan, Rushdie, Hume, Shelley, Russell, Dawkins and many more. Plus you get a main introduction and author introductions from the erudite and savagely witty Hitchens.<br />A word of warning: the first 100 pages are a bit sticky to wade through. This is because the book's essays are arranged in chronological order so we start with some ancient texts where the English is very heavy and dozens of commas adorn each sentence. There are some wonderful points made of course, but extreme concentration is required to pick them all up.<br />Things brighten after that and the book becomes highly readable. The majority of the essays are informative, stimulating and beautifully written. Highlights for me included Dawkins (as ever), who once again comes over as the world's best science writer, Larkin's stirring poem Aubade, AC Grayling's succinct essay, Can An Atheist Be A Fundamentalist?, and Ibn Warraq's brilliant dismantling of Islamic beliefs. If only Muslims would read it - but if they did they'd likely just throw it on the nearest fire.<br />We have much work to do. It may be a thousand years before the awfulness of religion is eradicated from the world, but books like this help: they perpetuate the `drip-down' effect. In the West we were well on the way to eradicating it before several million Muslims came to live here. Personally I doubt that nothing but a devastating clash of civilizations can be the result (we have of course already seen such clashes). Reading this book underlined my belief that this will be the case.<br />In conclusion, this book is highly recommended. If you only buy one atheist book buy this one (although The God Delusion is also fantastic). In the end you must decide which version of man's evolution and the planet's creation you believe: the views of thousands of the world's greatest ever minds of the past few hundred years; or words written a long, long time ago by people who thought the earth was flat and that the sun went round it, as passed on to them by other people who could not read or write and had not travelled, in their whole lives, more than a few miles from their primitive, parochial townships. I know who I'd prefer to believe.<br />PS On reflection I'd give this five stars but Amazon don't appear to allow you to edit star ratings.

Law of Attraction Basics

The Law Of Attraction is one of the later books written by Jerry and Esther Hicks containing the teachings of Abraham, a group of non-physical entities channelled by Esther. It is, however, a book that focuses on the basics of the teachings, and for that reason I'd suggest reading this one first if you are new to Abraham-Hicks' material.<br /><br />If you have already read other books written by the Hicks, like The Amazing Power Of Deliberate Intent and Ask And It Is Given, you may find much of the information in The Law Of Attraction repetitive, especially that contained in Part I which focuses on the Hicks' journey to channelling Abraham. Although Part II (The Law Of Attraction), Part III (The Science Of Deliberate Creation), Part IV (The Art Of Allowing), and Part V (Segment Intending) were largely familiar to me, I still found much of value in them. Through a series of questions and answers, these sections did clarify quite a few aspects of the material for me and also gave a very thorough overview of Abraham's teachings.<br /><br />The Law Of Attraction has often received criticism from those who have only watched The Secret and concluded that it is all about magical thinking and how to attract more material possessions into your life. If you want a good introduction to how the Law Of Attraction is so much more than this, and a more spiritual take on the principles, I would recommend that you start with The Law Of Attraction as well as look into other books published by the Hicks.<br />

theres always one (and its often the same one) who demolishes the reviews section with a comment like this is the second best chakra clearing book, and thendoesn't tell the rest of dirty, blocked chakra'd folk which is the best way of clearing our chakras...tell us guru jamieson, enlighten us, have you per chance written a book....to share generously the great chakra clearing wisdom of the Jamieson...

Beginning to 'Think Big'

This book is a guide for anyone who wants to succeed in life. Dr Schwartz explains the reasons for `thinking big' and follows this up with ways to succeed with your big plans. Think big, remove fear and prosper is the underlying message that comes across.<br /><br />The style of writing makes for an enjoyable read. Dr Schwartz has a wonderful understanding of those eager to learn and backs up an entertaining and informative read with superb examples. <br /><br />I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will be keeping it for future reference. It is the ideal guide for those who aspire to succeed in life but need some pointers into the right direction. A lot of the information reported might appear to be common sense. There is a lot more that is not. It is this attention to detail that will enable you to succeed where others have not. Enjoy this book. <br />

Imperfectly Natural Home

What a fantastic, informative book 'Imperfectly Natural Home' is. <br />When I was doing Ecological Interior Design and Feng Shui I had about 20 books I needed to dip into - this book encapsulates ALL the information needed in one great, easy to read volume and points people in the right direction if they want to go into anything in more depth - it is absolutely definitive and I am already recommending it to all my friends.<br /><br />

Nothing New and i afraid not well written

the book did not have anything new to say after i had read a couple of anger books. the structure was a bit weak, the level of research was rather poor, some of the exercises was tiring as they didn't dynamicly change in shape or idea. he also omitted on mentioning couple of key aspects of anger.

Leaves many unanswered questions

This book was undoubtedly a groundbreaker, as it introduced many people to the concept of crystal skulls. It is written in the style of a real life detective story, and initially approaches the subject from a scientific angle. It finishes with the authors turning to spirituality for the answers, relying heavily on the wisdom of various Native American Elders. The reader though has to wade through 500 pages before any firm conclusions are drawn. The book fails to answer the most basic questions of what the skulls represent and how they can help mankind. This leaves the reader with more questions than answers. It is also unfortunate that the authors interview only American researchers, when there is so much more that could have been said - there are many researchers and crystal skull guardians in the UK, who live and work with these fascinating objects as part of their everyday lives, the addition of this material would have added so much more to this book, as British and American researchers have completely different ideas as to what the skulls are about.

Georgia Humbert's book review

The butterfly lion is one of the best books I have read and I couldn't stop reading it!<br />The story has a boy called Bertie, and he rescued a white lion cub but his father is going to sell the lion. Bertie thinks the only thing he can do is set him back into the wild. Then Bertie is sent to Boarding School in England and he will have to leave his home in Africa. When Bertie grows up he has to go to war and got injured but saved two people by carrying them back to camp and wins the lifesaving badge. To unfold the magic and wonder read it or miss out!!! Written by Georgia Humbert - aged 8<br />

A Very Good Beginners Guide.

This audiobook consists of two CDs. The first is the author talking about meditation, and this CD is wonderful to listen to. He has a really nice voice to listen to and talks as if he is just talking to you alone. He makes if feel as if Meditation is available to everyone, and anyone can do this, which is true, but so helpful to a beginner to be reassured that it is within their reach. The second CD is a set of progressive meditations, quite short, but each one taking you a stage further on. I found them really helpful to work through, as it got me to a stage where I could continue alone. I am a beginner at this but have found this audiobook very helpful and I do actually find it works. If you want to begin Meditation and find the market is too flooded with all kinds of books and methods, then start here with this audiobook. It will guide you through a no-nonsense method, and you can then follow-up any other methods you choose afterwards, when you know what it is about and what it can do for you.

excellent translator

Gregg Braden has the ability to translate new insights in science and quantum physics into a language which an ordianry person can understand. Not much in the book was that groundbrakeingly new to me, or represents his own research. I have come across most of it already, but he has the knack to make it readable and understandable. Reducing the language of pure science into the language of the normal man/woman. <br />Pure science often remains unattainable, because scientists do not know how to make their discoveries relevant to everyday life and situations, and without this connection, many of us are left behind, not even wondering what it is all about.<br />An absolute treasure trove of information, and inspiration to question everything, abolutely everything.... <br />

Persuaded, I certainly was !

James Borg has provided us with one of the best books ever written on the art of persuasion. Prepare to dog ear and highlight this book to death as James gives you simple yet powerful techniques to better your influencing skills. For anyone who deals with people and wants to be more effective in their communication then this book fits the bill, I guess that's everyone then!?

MUST HAVE

I found this book amazing seriously, at the beginning it took me time to grasp the meanings it had, the i realized its one of those books that you are not suppose to be reading it all at once, what i did was i read two or three things a day and grasp it very well and try to motivate my self on doing it and make sure imagining myself doing it so i could remember if i was in such situiation my reaction would fit. really you will understand once you get this book hope you will think of it the same way i did.

An excellent book to overcome worry

This book is really life changing. It gives excellent practical advice on how to deal with, and overcome, day to day worries and anxieties. It also shows you how to put your worries into some proper context, see them for what they really are, and dismiss them forever.

4 pointers to show us fallen angels back to paradise lost.

I've come to believe that the achievement and maintenance of happiness is a day-to-day, moment-to-moment discipline, due to the heavy conditioning we have all received to wallow in and maintain each other in suffering. This book proposes 4 deceptively simple 'agreements' to live by in order to free ourselves of that conditioning. If followed, I believe they can radically transform our lives and the lives of those around us. I say this on the basis of how I feel and the changes I have observed in my transactions with other people only 4 days after reading this book and of putting these agreements into practice. Also on the basis of the changes I've seen in the people I know who have read and been touched by this book as I have. I don't think it's possible not to be touched by it and struck by the sheer basic sense and simplicity of these agreements. All one needs to do is keep them in mind! Stick them on the fridge, beside the loo, in your diary... until they become a natural reflex.

An invitation to read the book

I read the book some years ago. It seemed to make sense but didn't stick by me. However, when you hear Covey and his stories, it is more convincing then print. When I have the time I'll pick the book up again. Covey's voice and tone are not the most entertaining but the clear presentation of ideas and his stories make up for this. <br /><br />This isn't an audio book. It is more like a speech with some comments and music in between to cut it up in chapters. If I buy an e-book it's because I want to hear it while doing other stuff. The CD contains one track of approx 70 minutes. Several tracks so you it would be easier to pick up where you left before would be better.

It works

By doing the exercises it really helps take out any negative moments. While on holiday on the beach running, lost my wallet and thought that's it. However did the exercise in the book along with stuff I had read in"the secret", walked back to the beach with hundred on people on it and bumped into a couple who had my wallet. Our eyes met and we knew we had a connection. This was weird but i said a big thankyou. Needs to be viewed in connection with quantum physics and frequencies. Amazing once you get your head around it.A great read just be open to it.

It's what you make it

You will read a lot of conflicting reviews about this book. Most are good, some are OK and then others claim that Robbins is a con-artist hell bent on brainwashing gullible folks to fleece them of their money by selling some limp 'positive thinking' dream.<br /><br />The truth with many things is in the eye of the beholder. What it isn't is some 'positive thinking' book designed to make you oblivious to life's difficulties and claiming that life is easy. Life isn't easy. This is why so many of us find it challenging. If you choose to read this book from a point of curiosity, you should find it interesting. If you read it intent on doing the exercises with a view to having the courage to make changes in your life, it can be life transforming; - but you must want it to be. It won't just happen. <br /><br />Robbins makes the point that everything starts with 'personal power', the ability to take consistent action in the direction of your chosen destination. What holds us back in moving our lives forward is our reluctance to move out of our emotional comfort zones. The key reason for this is fear. As adults, we call it stress or angst or any other number of names but it all comes down to the same thing. We are bothered by what others think and say, we do conform, we are scared of getting rejected or of failing so we opt to stay in unhappy relationships, dead-end jobs, adapt to low earnings and be unhappy in the process and avoid risk.<br /><br />This book will show you some very powerful strategies in taking control of your thinking and starting to move in the right direction. The earlier chapter on the power of decisions is a must. Robbins makes the point that a true decision means no going back, its not a 'should' or a 'ought' but a true emotional conviction. This book will give you the power to make those decisions and the strategies to manage your emotions in the midst of the emotional discomfort you will experience.<br /><br />Too many people who have not been content with their lives can testify to this books effectivness. I was someone who faced some major challenges in my life which caused me to retreat into my comfort zone. Doing what I knew I should be doing was avoided and procrastination was the order of the day as far as work was concerned. This book gave me the courage to change and made me realise that any challenges or gain we experience in life requires courage and will make us feel uncomfortable. <br /><br />Its only by experiencing emotional discomfort that we achieve emotional growth. Yes, it can be scary but its all down to whether you want it or not. If you do, this book will help..<br />
