Human Anatomy Coloring Book - great for a massage course

Originally I bought this book for background use for teaching KS2 children (my own knowledge rather than using it directly for them)<br />I am also in the process of completing a massage course at college. We have to study anatomy and pyhsiology and be able to identify the muscle groups that we use; this has been ideal for that purpose. It also explains the body systems fairly simply, saving a lot of research time on the net.<br />I would recommend it for this type of level of study, it is much to advanced for younger children but is a great step up from that and not too technically advanced.

This book is a good starting poing and certainly allowed me to become enthusiastic about origami the minute it arrived. Some models are difficult to follow from the written instruction but a brief search on YouTube will enhance your skills. Good Luck.

Paper perfect

Since I bought this book, I've hardly had chance to look at it, as it has been snatched away by everyone who comes into contact with it. I've just ordered a further two copies for my Art Department. It is absolutely inspirational and I would definitely recommend it for Art Departments in schools and colleges. Beautifully produced and designed.

Creative workshop for mix-media

I only occassionaly do mix-media and this book certainly makes you want to do more.Easy to follow stages with good clear pictures. anyone who wishes to do mix-media can certainly do with this book. highly recomended for starter or more advanced.

So many ideas!

I have been crafting for many years and this is the first book I have found for card making that is helpful on all levels - ideas, instructions, techniques etc. It has everything for anyone who has just started crafting to someone who's been crafting for decades to gain inspiration from....a must have!

A Creativity Guide Rather Than A Technique Guide

This book is up to Lynne Perrella's usual beautiful standard and is overflowing with ideas. As it says in the title, it is an"A to Z Creativity Guide". If you are after techniques, then Perrella's Artists' Journal and Sketchbooks: Exploring and Creating Personal Pages has pages of techniques and examples and is probably a good starting point for the beginner. That being said,"Alphabetica" is an inspiring book and even if you don't have the time to have a go yourself, you'll love just looking through the high quality colourful images.

Inspiration to 'let go'....

I have many beautiful blank page books that I wanted to journal in but was always worried about spoiling the pristine pages, feeling that I wasn't creative or talented enough. This book is SO encouraging, and gorgeous to look through. It is filled with really good ideas and advice, and made me think 'what the hell, it's only paper' and start painting with abandon. Art journaling is so much FUN, whatever one's artistic ability (or lack of it), and a wonderful way to deal with the little frustrations of life by scribbling, glueing, painting and doodling.<br /><br />This book is an excellent place to start if you need someone to give you the confidence to make your first marks on those beautiful blank pages.

Excellent for anyone intersested in making books

This is a wonderful book, each project is well described in pictures and text format. You don't need a lot of expensive tools to make these projects and the pictures will inspire you to take the projects described in new directions that suit your own personal tastes. <br /><br />The is a brillient book for someone making a book for the first time, you will be surprised at how addictive bookbinding is and by the time you have made a few of the projects shown you will be well on your way in the interesting world of bookbinding. <br /><br /><br />A great boook for the first time binder, no prior knowledge of the subject is required.<br /><br />

Handmade Cards

<br />I bought this book as a Xmas present for my daughter, and as usual from Amazon the delivery was excellent. The book is very visual with page after page of colourful photographs and a great cover which shows much of what you get inside.<br />My daughter was very pleased with it and has already produced cards from ideas gained from the book.<br /><br />Overall an excellent product

Very Disappointed

I have a Cricut Expression cutting machine and was eager to learn further tips and techniques but this is not the book. All you get are a number of very standard and tired looking designs with details of the cartridges used and sizes of the various icons. No more details than you would receive in a magazine article. I would not recommend this to any Cricut user whether beginner or advanced. Instead of this spend the money on a pack of paper and practice your own techniques!!

lovely book on handmade books

This is a beautifully put together book. It is clearly illustrated and has very easy-to-follow instructions. Lovely photos of all the books made too.

A lot of recycled material

Ok, this book IS really good in itself but DO NOT buy it if you already own"tactile","tangible" or"Paper, rip tear fold". It's from the same publisher as all these, has been released after all these, and literally just contains every one of these books. It's like an expanded version of"tactile". I too teach Art, and it really is full of great ideas, but it is just an expanded rehash of the books that have gone before it. I thought it might have tutorials in it or something different to offer; well the DVD is ok, but really i'm just quite annoyed that I have wasted my money buying the other books first. So conclusion, great, but it's all recycled material.
